Even More Visitors!

Aren't they cute!
My parents flew in the Thursday after Kris and Kendra left.  They stayed for two weeks, which meant they were here for Thanksgiving!  It was really nice to have them come visit.  We did a lot.

I'm not sure the order that we did things, but the next pictures were mostly taken by my Mom in Waimea Valley.  We went on a short hike through the gorgeous area and ended at a waterfall.  Here are some pics of the beautiful scenery

If I could take a seed home and have it survive our climate it would be this tree.  I'd love one in my backyard.  They are so beautiful and grow up to be quite large.  This one is small but equally beautiful.

The waterfall.  The water is always brown here because of all the iron in the area.

We went zip lining with them too:
So magestic!

Now, we hit a few speed bumps with our visitors!  We hadn't had any little or big critters in the house but my parents got to witness two...We also had a rat in our pantry.  We covered up the hole with a license plate that was laying around.  Then from two in the morning until five I could hear it picking away at the hole trying to dig it's way through.  SO GROSS!  Here is what the new hole looked like.  The first was just big enough for the rat to get through.  We through some poison up in the hole and recovered it with the license plate,  We never heard it again.  Thank goodness!!!

This is the first live cenepede I've seen since we have been here and it went running on the back of the couch behind me toward my Mom!
This is what Bo said about what he witnessed:  Hailey spotted this guy on the back of the couch Celeste and Trish were sitting on. Needless to say they freaked out when they saw it. Celeste jumped up about 3 feet and ran away, Trish jumped up and tripped a little bit so she used her arms to drag herself away. It was hilarious. Mainly because I was sitting on the other couch.
Here we are playing a game at the PCC but I can't remember what it's called.  It was fun.

We had to do a Luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Here's our pig!

How cute was this?  My Dad helped Hailey make frosting for her brownies!
My Mom had lots of fun activities for the kids while she was here.  They made turkeys, Santa cupcakes, and Christmas trees out of ice cream cones

These two love the water, Jack loves the surfboard

Caleb dug this hole pretty much by himself

My parents told Bo to plan a night out for us while they were here and he surprised me with a night stay at the only hotel in Laie, the Marriot.  It was such a needed getaway for us!  Thank you so much Mom and Dad for hanging out with the kids for a day so we could have a break!!!
