Gratitude Journal: Day 12

For the past three years or so, I have really come to love music.  I love playing it.  I love listening to it.  I love feeling it.  I've learned beautiful music enhances the good in life and makes it great.  It heals us when we pass through trials.  It can calm a room.  Music can also take us back to special times in our life.  There aren't enough words to explain the feelings music brings. But, I have a quote that helps and hangs in my music room.

Musical training is a more potent instrument than any other. because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul.

Music makes its way into our soul.  I really believe this.  That's why our music choices are so important.  Yes, training can take place in voice or instruments.  But, training our hearts to enjoy good wholesome music is something we don't think a lot about.  Most people think they either enjoy a song or they don't.  But, we can all learn to enjoy the music that's good for our hearts and that training will help us in everything.

Today I #givethanks for the gift of music, those who share their musical gifts,  the ability to play my piano and organ, and the peace music brings to my soul.
