Gratitude Journal: Day 21

The human ear can process up to 10,000 bits of information per second (bps) at maximum bandwidth. The human eye can process up to 7 billion bps. Neurologically speaking, a picture is not worth a thousand words. It is worth 700,000 words."

I love paintings. When I see one, I'm drawn to it. I can see how it can be worth that full 700,000 in mere seconds.  The first time this happened was in Hawaii at the temple visitor center.  When I saw this:

It instantly brought me peace. I couldn’t believe the way Roy Tabora could bring light into the painting and this wave.  There are no words when a painting speaks to your heart.

Religious art is probably my favorite. The prayer paintings I posted the last couple of days just make me happy.  Yongsung  Kim is another of my favorites. I’ve come to realize it’s the light I love so much.

I #givethanks for the beautiful art that we can see with just a click of the finger.  I want to post some of my favorites at the moment.

Q

I love what this teaches!
