Other Summer Fun...Alaska & Girl Time!

 All of the boys took an amazing trip to Alaska with the Poole Family boys.  These boys had some pretty unforgettable times and since I wasn't there I'll copy what Bo put on Facebook.

Pretty epic first night in Alaska. Everyone else headed back and went to bed at a decent hour but they missed the most amazing fishing ever on the Kenai. Con and I had the Kenai river to ourselves and we just kept catching fish after fish after fish. Got back to the camper at 2am Alaska time or 4am Idaho time.

Super creepy walk in the dark through bear county with 50 lbs of fish on my back but totally worth it.

Good week in Alaska. Definitely saved the best day for last. Found a spot that was just loaded with salmon. These two guys both reeled in about 40+ salmon on the Kenai yesterday. Never seen it that good. (If you’re thinking about it, go. The boys love it, I can help you get a good Kenai RV trip planned out)

(Wayne Poole Facebook Post) Alaska. 7 days, 7 boys, 700 mountain dews and memories I hope they remember forever. We saw Bears closer than we ever have, mountain goats, moose, and caught more fish than we could count. I’m not sure the fish smell combined with wet socks and waders will ever come out of that motor home we were in! Thanks Bo Porter for showing us around.

While the boys were in Alaska, Hailey and I went to Bear Lake to see Carley and their family.  We went to the play Beauty and the Beast, Carley's craft show and wandered, and just relaxed.  We also went to West Yellowstone for an evening with mom and went to a really sweet play.  It was so fun to just have some girl time.  I feel like I'm running out of time with her.  I love watching her grow into an adult (well, most days, haha).  But, I'll miss having another girl around when she leaves.
