I got set apart as the primary CTR 7 class yesterday. They are a really fun group of kids and it should be fun time. I just had to mention a funny conversation we had. This will let you know how much of a minority we are in Hawaii.
I will preface this story with a word and it's definition. Haole (pronounced as how'lee) is a Hawaiian derogatory term for white people. Now that you know that, here's the story. We were introducing ourselves and we'd gone through a few people. One of the girls was introducing herself and then she said, "blah, blah, blah...and I know you're a Haole". I just started laughing and another boy in the class goes, "No, she's an American." Trying to make it better. But, I just had to laugh because the one boy knew she shouldn't have said it but the girls didn't see what the problem was. I just explained that we are all American's and that I was white. HAHA!
Bo and I got asked to give a talk Sunday which I'm wishing a had a bit more time to think about. But, oh well. I'll get it done. Bo, also got asked to be the Seminary teacher for the stake. He will be teaching the Old Testament from 6-7 am. That should be an interesting calling. I'm REALLY feeling grateful for my calling now. :)
