Gratitude Journal: Day 25

As I look at this picture, the anxiety begins. After the kids went back to school from eight and a half months at home, I feel like parts of our home look like it. As I’ve tried to keep up, it just hasn’t been possible. The kids clean, and they’re pretty good, but every so often, their chores need a mother’s touch. :) There were also more important things than deep cleaning to get to as I tried to make this time we had together filled with positivity rather than fear.

Finally, today, I had some time to clean. It will take a while to catch up on everything. But, as I began to clean and organize parts of our home, I felt the weight I’ve carried from the mess go, and I can breathe a bit easier.

A clean home does more for me than just look nice. I love this scripture, and it’s my goal to incorporate every part of it in our home as our family grows. A house of order helps establish everything in this scripture—I #givethanks for the time I have had to organize our home today.
