Hailey's 9th Birthday

Ok, I know every year I type, "I can't believe Hailey is ___!  But it's true.  I can't believe how fast time goes.  She is halfway out the door and I feel like just yesterday she was just starting Kindergarten.  But, this is life.  Time flies.

Hailey had a fun birthday this year.  We were able to have five of her friends over and three stayed the night.  They had a blast together and of course I had so much going on I forgot to take a picture of all the girls.

We also had Grandma and Grandpa over for cake and ice cream.  It's always nice to have family over now that everyone else has moved away.

Here are a couple of pictures of her opening her presents

At age 9 Hailey loves:

Art
TV
Listening to me read stories
Chicken Rolls
Chocolate and Pop
Friends
Dancing Around
Riding motorbikes and the RZR
Math
Piano (most days)
Writing in her journal

We love:

What a great sister she is to all these brothers, very patient
Spending time with her
Her example
Her sweet smile
That she helps out so much with Caleb and around the house
She likes to make sure everyone has a friend
When she bears her testimony (her spiritual side)
Reading her journal (permission is given at least for now)

Hailey-
You are growing in to such a beautiful girl with many great talents.  We love you so much and couldn't ask for a sweeter daughter.  Thanks for the great example you are to your family!

Family Pictures 2013

Last Spring Kendra Stowell (a good friend) offered to take our family pictures as a gift for Caleb's birth.  We took her up on it but wanted to wait until an easier time for her and us.  Here they are.  I love them.  Hailey was a bit of a pill...

It's amazing what can happen in 10 and a half years!

My favorite pose:

Some of the kids have better smiles in this one:

Brayden's 3rd Birthday

We had a fun day with Brayden on his birthday.  Nothing to crazy, just cake and ice cream and a visit from Grandma and Grandpa.  But he is always asking about Grandpa so I'm sure it was a great day for him.  Here are a couple of pictures.  For some reason I can't get the others to open.

I don't think he was excited to open his presents do you?

Here's his cake:

At age 3 Brayden loves:
his "motor" bike
Jackson and his other siblings
Caillou
Treats
Going on RZR rides
hanging out with Dad
Jumping all over
Pretending he's a cat
Bananas

Brayden loves cracking jokes.  Today he said,
"Why did the baby cross the road?"
I said, "I don't know."
"To get his sandwich."
I know it's not funny but he was sitting eating his sandwich and came up with his own joke.  He was so proud of himself and the look on his face was priceless.  I had to laugh at that.

He is changing a lot and I don't have to worry about him getting in to things much anymore.  He and Jackson have become best friends the past few weeks.  It's nice to see that he is old enough that they can have fun together.

We love:
His smile
His hugs
His blue eyes
The way he talks (even though she should be talking better, it's cute.)
he eats most anything and doesn't complain about dinner
he goes to bed and crashes because he is so busy all day long
his silly sense of humor
The way he looks up to the older kids
There is just something so sweet about him

We love you little man!  We can't wait to see what next year brings.

Picture OVERLOAD! Kids 2013

Ok.  I had half of the kids pictures taken in May and then it took until three months to get back to JCPenney to finish.  Probably the only reason I got back there was that Caleb was in need of his six month pictures.  The May ones were three month/blessing.  There are a lot of pictures!  But, that is what makes blogging fun right?

Conrad: age 7

 Jackson: age 5

Caleb: age 6 months

 Caleb: 3 Months

 Hailey: age 8
