Easter 2017

Easter was fun as always. The kids love when the Easter Bunny hides their baskets.  He did a great job this year.  Except for Conrad.  He found his in about 30 seconds.  The other fun we did was colored eggs, and went to 3 Easter egg hunts.  Hailey tells us she's too old for coloring eggs and had softball practice during the city's egg hunt so she's missing from some pics. They grow up too fast!!!

Last weekend we had lots of family in town and had an Easter egg hunt at my parents.  I didn't take the best pictures.  But you can see the kids had fun running around and finding their eggs.  We also had a great time after the kids went to bed.  We stayed up way too late and I can tell I'm getting older.  It takes time to catch up on missing all those hours of sleep.  :)

The other fun thing about the weekend was my Aunt Joyce was in town.  It was fun to see them and they decided to move back from Pennsylvania and live by my parents!  My cousin Jenna is looking to move over to Utah too. It will be nice to have family on my Mom's side closer.

Conrad is 11!

I think he's excited.  What do you think?

Conrad turned 11 a couple of weeks ago.  It was fun celebrating with him.

After school Conrad and I went and picked out a cake.  He chose an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.  Then we went to the warehouse with a couple of friends and played.  They had a blast and ate a whole pack of birthday cake Oreos.  I'm sure the boys Mom's appreciated it.

Conrad chose green curry for dinner and then we partied with my parents.  He had a blast opening gifts from everyone and still has some money left over.

Here are the some pics from his special day:
Conrad loves pranks so I got trick candles this year.

The trick candles sparked a little bit.

Conrad is a tender hearted animal lover.  He is definitely Nani's best friend and takes great care of her.  She loves him.  She waits by the door every afternoon anticipating his arrival.  Baseball season is just beginning and he can't wait.  He wasn't able to play last year which makes him even more excited.  He loves reading Diary of a Wimpy Kids and Weird but True books, fishing, and riding RZR's.

We love this kid.  He's a great older brother and is the peacemaker most of the time.  He's very willing to help out when I need it, especially in the kitchen.  I like it when he wants to cook with me. He's smart and LOVES to make people laugh. Even if it may be at inappropriate times:)

Happy birthday Conrad!  You are growing up so fast. We are proud of you and the great young man you are becoming. Keep on growing and learning all that you can. Great things will come your way when you work hard do what others teach you.  I can't wait to see what is in store for you.  We love you!

We Tagged Along on a Business Trip

We walked halfway across that bridge above us.  It was pretty crazy!
Bo had an Amazon training in Las Vegas during Spring Break. Perfect timing for us because we all got to tag along with Kris and his family.  It was so much fun!  The kids are at the perfect ages.  Life without a baby is much easier on vacation and I know some of them will have fun memories from trips from now on.

We were able to do so many fun things.  We of course started out swimming at the pool.  That is by far one of the kids favorite things to do. Darn it though, I didn't take any pics! :(

The first day we had everyone together and we went to Hoover Dam.  It was crazy high and the kids were scared to look over the railing.  But they thought it was pretty cool.

While Bo and Kris were at their training we went to the Discovery Center.  It was 3 levels of amazing fun and where we spent the entire day. When we first got there it was busy and we were regretting our choice.  There were so many schools that the kids didn't really have a place to explore. The kids played on the first floor and then we decided to take a lunch. Thankfully, the schools had all left and then the fun began.  They had a water world, flight simulators, also one floor was a small town where they could pretend they were shopping, auto mechanics, doctors, and pilots among other things.
Here are some highlights:

Flight Simulator

Home Construction

Water Safety
 Pilots and airport

The next day we played at a park, watched a movie (because the weather was chilly) and then swam in the late afternoon.

It was a great trip.  Probably one of my favorites!

Oh ya, Caleb decided to poop in the pool; I was so embarrassed!  No vacation is complete without unexpected mishaps.  :)

Mom Win!

I just have to put this on here because my heart melted just a little bit.

We went to the library to get books.  I helped the kids get their own but I've never dared go up to the third floor to get some books for me.  I was feeling brave this day and decided to make an attempt and see how it went.  I had Hailey watch Caleb and told the boys to go sit at the table with Hailey when they were done looking at books.  When I came down I heard kids screaming and crying and I thought oh man, I shouldn't have left them.  But, when I turned the corner and saw it was someone else's child I was relieved it wasn't my unsupervised kids.

I looked at the table the kids and this is what I saw...

My kids sitting quietly reading and looking at books.
Made my week!  I love these kids and they are really growing up.  Maybe something I've tried to teach them about how to behave while in public is beginning to stick. ;)
