A New Website!

I am excited to post that Bo's business has a new website. They just got it up and running today. Bo and everyone at the office have put many hours and a lot of hard work in to get it running and ready for customers. I'M NOT ANNOUNCING THIS TO ADVERTISE, but I just want to add it to our family journal as this is a great accomplishment for Bo. Easter: Part: 2

Okay to start off, I know there aren't any pictures. My camera is a little bit shall I say, under the weather. I accidentally dropped it in the toilette. No joke...I am giving it a few days to dry out and I am hoping it will still work.

Last weekend was great! My mom put together an Easter Egg Hunt for all of the cousins. They had so much fun looking for the eggs. It was so fun to watch their faces light up as they opened their eggs. Thanks Mom and Dad for all the work preparing it.

Everybody was able to come. It was fun to spend time with all of them. Brooke and Dustins' families stayed with us. It was tons of fun. The guys went on a motorbike ride, of course :) and the women baked bread and went shopping. It was really fun to go shopping with everyone!!!

When it was over and done, I think everyone was exhausted. Bo and I were able to take a 2 and a half hour nap on Sunday while Jack slept. Conrad ended up sleeping from 2:30 in the afternoon until 7:30 in the morning. He didn't even wake up to eat. Hailey didn't take a nap (of course) but played games on PBS kids while we were all napping. She loves playing games. It may have been a little long for her to play, but I was very grateful for the nap:)

We were glad to see all of the family. Thanks for the efforts you all made to spend time with us. We love you!

Easter Weekend

Easter was a little bit interesting this year. We started out Saturday morning at the Easter Egg Hunt. The paper said they were going to line up and give candy out so when we were running a little late we thought no big deal, we'll just be at the end of the line. We got there at 10:04 and we had missed the hunt. They did the traditional hunt. Bummer!!! At least the Easter Bunny was there and we were able to get a picture with her.

Later that evening we dyed eggs. It was fun and the kids loved dipping and redipping the eggs. They actually turned out pretty cool. (When we peeled them today for deviled eggs they were upset that we were "ruining" their eggs, Conrad especially)

Easter morning is a morning that parents get excited. It wasn't exactly the way we had pictured. We worked with the Easter bunny to get the kids magnet boards with pictures on them. This took quite a LONG time. The kids love pictures. Hailey finds pictures and hides them in her window seal and Conrad is always wanting to hang pictures on his wall. So we thought they would love a place for their special pictures. Boy, were we and the Easter Bunny wrong! Hailey came in our room this morning crying that the Easter Bunny didn't bring her a toy. Conrad was just happy to have candy. (Another one of those hard mommy moments.)

I guess I should have told the Easter Bunny to bring a hula hoop or something too. (I don't know what I was thinking, of course they would want a little something to play with too, duh!) Oh well, you can't change what has already happened I guess. It was a learning experience for Hailey on dealing with disappointment. (We are also going to have to work on being happy with any gift we receive too.)

The day ended up better than it started. We were able to go to my parents and have dinner. It was nice to spend time with family on a special day. Hailey ended up liking her magnet board too.

I just want to add my testimony of the atonement and resurrection of Christ. I am not an expert on the atonement, but I know Christ suffered unimaginably for our sins. He was perfect in every way and yet He was betrayed, tortured, humiliated, and sentenced to death because people feared Him. He suffered more than we could ever bear and had to do it alone for a time as our Father in Heaven had to leave him. He knew when he had finished his mission and ended his life here (keep in mind he could have ended it at any time but suffered through until it was finished.) Three days later he was resurrected and visited those most close to him. Then he visited the people on this Continent and healed taught the people here.

I know he loves us beyond our comprehension. He suffered for us so we can repent of our sins and return to our Father. He knows our pains and carries us through our trials. I have felt Him at times when I have needed his comfort most. I love Him. I am trying to live worthy of His Atonement. I am so grateful for Him and will forever be in his debt. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Conrad's 3rd Birthday

Friday was Conrad's birthday and it started out before the kids even got dressed. He took (I should say snuck) some of the presents into our bedroom and told Bo (who was in bed) that I said he could open them. So, they started without me (what the heck). Needless to say I missed the first couple of presents. The were the blue and red lip gloss (chapstick) he asked for. I made it just in time for the lollipop and here's a video(mostly for the grandparents). His reaction to the sucker is kind of funny.

Hailey picked out a harmonica for him. We also got him a helmet and bike.

We had Conrad's favorite for dinner: corn dogs, cucumbers, and banana milk (banana blended up with milk and a little sugar) for dinner. We had a lot of fun making the corn dogs and eating them.

This was my first cut-up cake. It took forever. But, Conrad LOVED it. (So, I guess it was worth all the time it took.) He kept on stopping by the table and saying, "I'm just going to look at my puppy." We also ate Rainbow Sherbet and Goo Goo Cluster ice cream.

When I was putting Con to bed at the end of the day I asked him what his favorite thing part if his birthday was. He said he loved the rainbow sherbet.

It was a fun day. I love birthdays. Kids get so excited. Although, I don't really have any pictures of him smiling he was happy. He just isn't a morning person.

We also met at the warehouse with some friends to watch a movie and eat cupcakes on Saturday. My parents came up today to bring him a gift. We got to have cake and ice cream again. So, I guess we kind of had 3 parties.
We love you Conrad and we are so happy to have you in our family. Happy number 3!!!
