Memorial Day 2022

This Memorial Day was a different day than ever.  It is the first since Dad passed away.  Everyone's family came except Brooke's.  Dad's headstone had just been placed a few days before, and we spent some time there with many of them drinking Pepsi.  It was a great weekend.  It's nice to get together for these big moments.  It helps with healing and not being alone on those days.  Thanks to everyone who made it up to spend the weekend with us.

Sometimes, I still can't believe Dad is gone.  I often wonder what he's working on over there on the other side.  But, I know it must be pretty important to have him taken so soon.  I sure love you Dad and miss you!  I think about you daily and your influence on my life.

Prom 2022

Hailey and Conrad both went to Prom.  It was Conrad's first date.  Bo did have to bribe Conrad to go, so he got a new bedroom.  Hailey was going to go with his group but they broke off because that group got so big.  But, they had a lot of fun.  I think Conrad felt a little awkward because he went with Kris and Kendra's daughter Ilzay.  They have been friends since they were babies.  It was so fun seeing them all dressed up.

NYC Girls Trip

A few of us friends decided to take a trip to NYC.  Most had never been or spent a short amount of time there.  We did all the usual touristy things and really just enjoyed exploring the city together.  We went to the Met, the Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ, Central Park bike ride, the Edge building, 9/11 memorial museum, St. Patricks Cathedral, a cruise around the bay, saw the Statue of Liberty, watched Broadway, stayed up late, ate great food, an we're all ready to take a trip back.

It is!!!

Easter 2022

The kids are getting older and aren't caring as much to dye eggs and have pictures.  But, this is what I got.

Conrad Can Date!!!

Conrad is 16!  How has this day come?!  He had a party at the warehouse with his friends and then on Sunday we had a family party.  I planned on using the balloons I got to put around the house all weekend, but his friends sucked all of the helium out of the balloons at his party.  HAHA!

At 16 Conrad loves:
His freedom to drive around
Fishing
Baseball
Hanging out at the warehouse with friends
Hitting in the cage

We love:
How responsible he is
Watching him play baseball
He's fearless and goes for what he wants
How well he works in school
How thoughtful he is
He doesn't complain
He's still the peacemaker in our home

We just love having this awesome teenager around.  He helps where he's needed and rarely complains.  Even when we ask a lot of him.  We are so grateful to have him in our home and his example to our family!  We love you Conrad.
