Conrad is Now 10!!!

Wow!  He's 10!  Conrad's birthday was on conference Sunday.  We are moving back so soon and there's not much room to bring things back. So, I talked to him before and asked if he'd like a couple of presents and then some cash for when we get home.  He was good with that so I just bought a couple of gifts.

We had a great time as a family and everyone loved his cake.  Once a month we have a break-the-fast with all of the other missionaries in our area.  We usually take all the kids, but Hailey babysat and we went on a date with Conrad.  One of our friends had everyone (it's a really big group) sing Happy Birthday to him.  He LOVED it.  He said, "I've never had that many people sing to me before."  I said, "I haven't either."  HAHA.

We forgot to get an after picture.  But here are the before's:

Conrad loves many things at the age of 10.  I can't decide between fishing and playing baseball as his favorites.  He loves them both.  He loves watching baseball and any sport really (yes, the whole game, not just highlights).  He also loves memorizing baseball stats.  He loves playing at the beach and swimming.  Catching gecko's is another fun pass time.  He's adjusted well to Hawaii and has said that if we had to stay here, he'd be ok with it.

Conrad is a sweet, caring kid.  He notices how people are feeling and will give hugs to anyone in our family that he sees is down.  As he grows and matures he has begun to notice when I need his help.  He's really started to step it up and help out.  He loves to make people laugh and we, the kids especially, love laughing at his silly jokes.  Conrad wasn't able to get on a baseball team this year.  There just isn't one for his age.  But, he's still been really supportive of Jackson playing.  We love you Conrad.  You have a special place in our family!  Thanks for being you!!!

Bo's Cousin and Family Spent a Few Days with Us

Bo asked Jaren to teach in the entrepeneur lecture series at BYUH.  Jaren is Gini's brother Mark's son...whew, mouthful!  He was able to come and bring his family.  We had a great time.  But, I'm bummed I didn't take very many pics.  We spent a couple of dinners together, they also came to Bo's kickoff party, I listed about that on another post. We also did our favorite, Waimea Falls with them.
Yes that is Conrad up in the waterfall.  They had an awesome time playing.

Jaron did a great job and inspired all of us to seek the Lord in business and life.  He has come up with an amazing product with many uses.  Initially it was to have something better than sandbags to help with flooding.  But since it's debut it's been found to have many uses.  It's brilliant!  Check out this video.

Easter 2016

Easter was pretty much the same as every other year but in a different place.  The Easter Egg Hunt though was very different.  They hid 8,000 eggs.  Most of them were real boiled eggs.  There were so many people there that Caleb and Brayden didn't get any eggs.  The older boys got about 4 together.  Hailey decided she was to old to go this year.

Here are the pics. They are like any other year with a different background:

Spring Break

Spring Break was so nice!  It was great to have a two week break from school and just relax and have fun.  It wasn't all peaches and cream with the usual fighting and teasing and by the end I was ready to be in routine again, but it was a much needed break.

We started with a visit to Sea Life Park, of course:

The kids playing at a small park at Sea Life Park:

 The favorite!  Feeding the birds:

Jack has his first first ever!  He's always been a bit nervous holding a bird.

The Honolulu Zoo is awesome!  The elephants were like 8 feet tall.

Not sure you can see it but the monkey has a baby holding on.  It was pretty cute and crazy how well it held on as it's mom swung all around.

Another playground at the Zoo

Swim Lessons:  We decided to put these kids in swim lessons.  They have learned so much and have LOVED it.  Caleb just started last week.  Pretty excited to see how he does.

Bo's Trip to China and Korea

Bo has been to China about five times now.  I try to get him to post about his trips, but he doesn't like to.  I decided this time I'd post some pictures from his last trip.  Bo left on Saturday, March 19 at nine o'clock am. He was back the following Wednesday morning.  It was a really quick trip spending only 2 nights in a hotel.  The rest of the nights were on an airplane.  This time around Bo had a thirteen hour  layover in Korea.  He was able to take two bus tours and see the city.  He liked it, but thought Shanghai was more interesting.

This is why Bo goes to China.  If you look at the top picture. The skirt doesn't hit the floor.  But, when they sent the sample to Idaho, it did.  After they OK the sample and get ready to mass produce the product Bo goes to make sure everything is the same as the sample they received.  Sometimes the product is cheapened and then you are stuck with a container of bad product.
