Arrow of Light
Conrad worked really hard to finish up his Weblos and Arrow of Light by his birthday. Last week he earned his award at Pack Meeting. A couple in our ward puts on a great show to give them their awards. They put up a tepe and artificial fires, dress up like Indians and quiz the kids on a few things. The kids LOVE it.

Atlanta
Last December after about six months of negotiating Bo and Kris (Bo's business partner) sold one of their businesses, DiatamaciousEarth.com. Kendra and I wanted to do something for them to congratulate them on this accomplishment. We couldn't decide what to do and Kendra had the idea to take a trip. Bo loves going places and I knew this was the gift they'd love. We invited Gini to come along because they all LOVE the Braves.
We talked to them about it and the options we had. One of them was to go watch the Braves play in their new stadium, Sun Trust Park which jus opened this season. They of course picked baseball. We had a great time and I learned a lot about the Braves.
They've built a whole mini town complete with a hotel, apartments, a high rise office building, and a movie theater. All owned by the Atlanta Braves. It was well organized and pretty spectacular. We got to go on a tour of the stadium and watch the teams warm up on the field. The guys loved it. Bo even got a ball tossed to him from Kemp that he and Freddie Freeman played catch with. Conrad's favorite player is Freeman so he was pretty excited to get the ball.
My parents were awesome and took the kids for us! Thanks so much Mom and Dad!!! It was nice to have a few day getaway.
While we were there we also went to the Civil Rights Museum, The Coke Museum, and CNN. I loved the Civil Rights Museum. It was really well done. It made me see how bad it really was and this all happened when our parents were kids. Crazy! The museum started out kind of dark and as we moved up through the building it got lighter. It had a whole section about Martin Luther King, Jr. By the end the museum had many photos of people and stories of how there are many ways that people all over the world are in slavery but that there is hope today. They talked about those that have helped pave the way for others. It was pretty cool.
The Coke Museum was cool. My favorite part was the room filled with fountains that had their flavors all over the world. It was fun to taste the different pop. Although, it didn't take long to get sick. :)
I don't love CNN News but it was interesting to take a tour of their headquarters.

Easter 2017
Easter was fun as always. The kids love when the Easter Bunny hides their baskets. He did a great job this year. Except for Conrad. He found his in about 30 seconds. The other fun we did was colored eggs, and went to 3 Easter egg hunts. Hailey tells us she's too old for coloring eggs and had softball practice during the city's egg hunt so she's missing from some pics. They grow up too fast!!!
Last weekend we had lots of family in town and had an Easter egg hunt at my parents. I didn't take the best pictures. But you can see the kids had fun running around and finding their eggs. We also had a great time after the kids went to bed. We stayed up way too late and I can tell I'm getting older. It takes time to catch up on missing all those hours of sleep. :)
The other fun thing about the weekend was my Aunt Joyce was in town. It was fun to see them and they decided to move back from Pennsylvania and live by my parents! My cousin Jenna is looking to move over to Utah too. It will be nice to have family on my Mom's side closer.

Conrad is 11!
| I think he's excited. What do you think? |
Conrad turned 11 a couple of weeks ago. It was fun celebrating with him.
After school Conrad and I went and picked out a cake. He chose an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Then we went to the warehouse with a couple of friends and played. They had a blast and ate a whole pack of birthday cake Oreos. I'm sure the boys Mom's appreciated it.
Conrad chose green curry for dinner and then we partied with my parents. He had a blast opening gifts from everyone and still has some money left over.
Here are the some pics from his special day:

Conrad is a tender hearted animal lover. He is definitely Nani's best friend and takes great care of her. She loves him. She waits by the door every afternoon anticipating his arrival. Baseball season is just beginning and he can't wait. He wasn't able to play last year which makes him even more excited. He loves reading Diary of a Wimpy Kids and Weird but True books, fishing, and riding RZR's.
We love this kid. He's a great older brother and is the peacemaker most of the time. He's very willing to help out when I need it, especially in the kitchen. I like it when he wants to cook with me. He's smart and LOVES to make people laugh. Even if it may be at inappropriate times:)
Happy birthday Conrad! You are growing up so fast. We are proud of you and the great young man you are becoming. Keep on growing and learning all that you can. Great things will come your way when you work hard do what others teach you. I can't wait to see what is in store for you. We love you!
